Not just one area but includes any fruiting plant growing in the garden.
At the moment 9 fruit trees surround the main veg garden and have some old girl chooks running under them for bug control.
Also 8 fruit trees with in the veg garden…and a few more scattered around the block. I’m trying to grow brambles but these really suffer in our heat of summer..I’m considering building a shade house to grow these in.
I’m planning changes to this area so that the chickens have access to all the Apple and Pear trees to aid in the control of Codlin Moth.

A shade house for brambles! Oh my, how different gardening is on your side of the world! We have brambles invading our garden through two hedges as well as wild birds merrily sowing (in as natural a manner as possible) bramble seeds on every square inch of our garden. I cuss at brambles and you want them – it’s a strange world, isn’t it?
