the5kgarden's Front Porch garden

We adopted a bunch of ‘stuff’ in this bed. With a few years of massaging, digging, transplanting, drip-watering, we’ve found a ‘cottage’ look that we were after. The anchor is the burning bush on the corner saddled by shasta daisies. The big surprise this year was the peach-colored snap dragons that just showed up. we have plenty of california poppies, which i’ve been collecting seeds. Below the Norway Maple, i will be converting the poor lawn are to a hosta/fern ground cover.
