CuttySark's Front Flower Bed garden

There’s a mysterious flower bed in the front yard of our new house. It surrounds a tree stump, that looks to be maybe five years gone, and there are cards and little lamps stuck in it seemingly at random. So far we’ve seen crocuses and leaves for what look like tulips, neither of which are plants listed on those cards that remain.
I’m just going to be weed-pulling and documenting this bed this year; I want to see what the previous owners left behind before making any plans of our own.
2010 update: We pulled back a lot of the violets, moved the forget me nots, added a bunch of bulbs and had the big pine stump removed. I still have hyacinth bulbs to go in this spring, and I need something tall for the middle. Maybe a lavender.
CuttySark's Front Flower Bed garden is an outdoor organic garden located in Halifax, Canada and currently contains 23 plants.
This is a Flower garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 5b. It has mainly Combination soil and receives Full Sun light.Photos
