CearaQC's Strawberry bed garden

Garden Type: Edible | Sun: Full Sun | Soil: Sand I'm Organic!

In 2004, we purchased 100 strawberry roots. Now the plot is overgrown. We will be digging up a lot of these in a few weeks and offering extra plants to locals. This is approximately a 10 by 10 foot bed, right next to our homemade 12 × 24 foot greenhouse.

No idea what kind of strawberries are in the bed, but there is a mixture of the ones we purchased from the local garden center (which is now closed and we no longer have a local garden center) and some wild strawberries.

Wild strawberries grow all over in this area. Hard to walk around without stepping on them, even in the lawn. But they make cheery flowers in places where they do not get to fruit.
