This is the strip of ground between the side fence and the public footpath.
The mass planting of geraniums was inspired by the window boxes that I saw in Venice.
This garden gets the morning sun, and some geraniums are in the dappled shade of a paperbark tree that is planted on the verge.

I love those Italian window boxes too! I spent months looking for just the right shade of red so I could get this look in my terracotta pots. Congratulations on your garden!

Thanks Bellgirl. I’ve tried to ensure that the plants along this strip are all the same red by planting the cuttings alongside older or less attractive plants.
I’ll take a picture when most of them are in flower again.
