2011
Working on claiming the house side of this. Worked in compost, added temp daylilies and some starts or seeds of lychnis, love in a mist, columbines. The other side is going to be more difficult next year as the new neighbors don’t weed and their gladiolus bed is getting full of grass (in addition to stuff of mine that has wandered over).
2009
This should be an enticing pathway leading one to the delights of the backyard. Half of it is badly gardened, half is mostly weeds, the brick walk never got edged and is growing moss, and the fence and gate purchased to replace the existing broken gate have not been installed. (And someone keeps dithering about where exactly to put them, too.)
It’s on the west side of the house, so for much of the year it gets low light until about midday, and then is fiercely hot until the sun sets.
The neighbor’s driveway is on one side of this bed, with chain link fencing and a small strip on their side with little azaleas. Our house, a windowless pale sun-reflecting expanse, is the other boundary.
The tiny path is what I use as the divider between this and the left of circle garden in the front yard.
Containing 12 plants, TolCath's Side Yard Passage garden is an outdoor garden located in Oregon City, United States.
