Evidently this greenhouse has been here at my Grandma’s property (‘Pikku Maatila’ where I now also live) for quite a few years, but until just two years ago I never even noticed it. It is certainly not big enough for all the seeds and fragile little vegetables that I want to start ahead of time so that they’re big and strong by the time it’s warm enough to plant them out. However, I like it very much. The greenhouse, that is. It’s literally green…some kind of fiberglass/poly mixture of sorts with a screen door on one end and two ceiling vents that use beeswax in their spring mechanisms. Crazy and awesome.
I will probably hold a special place in my heart for this greenhouse, even once we have a bigger and better “greenhouse” (in the form of a 16 × 25 hoophouse – hopefully sometime in the next year).
I’m not sure how large it is…but I shall estimate it at 9 foot tall at its apex, 14 foot long and 8 foot wide. Keep in mind I’m horrible at estimating.
