There used to be a garage here. But when we moved in, it was just a concrete pad. Eventually, we took up the pad. There was dirt and broken concrete everywhere! So – in the city, build up! The idea is to have kitchen herbs along the edge so it’s easy to send people to fetch while cooking. It’s also to have a nice stone wall to sit on while chatting. Eventually the plum and cherry trees will provide some shade.
