puu's passage garden

Garden Type: Footpath | Sun: Dappled Sun | Soil: Combination I'm Organic!

there’s a path down the bank to the river that always gets overgrown with blackberries. it get’s slippery. it’s no fun. I’m trying to fix that. the soil is, well, the riverbank is a dike, so the soil is mostly concrete rubble. there is also a lot of clay. that does make things a bit more difficult.

at some point, I would like to plant the path itself with something that can take some foot traffic, but that might be a tall order for such a shady spot. I may resort to some sort of paving bricks.

once the vine maples grow up a bit, I may plant some arctic beauty kiwis (Actinidia kolomikta) to grow up them.
