This is the old shadehouse. After killing all the weeds with black plastic, I dug down to find another layer of black plastic about 2 inches below. Instead of pulling all that dirt out, pulling up that plastic and then putting the dirt down again, we’ve found the reticulation pipes, poked lots and lots of holes through the 2 inch deep black plastic and are building no-dig beds to sit on top. Hopefully that will deal with both the incomplete drainage and the paucity of decent dirt.
