This is about a third of the front garden, which is split by a path all the way down. This is the section above the path. I’m keeping this mostly ornamental, hopefully with some nice big shrubs to encourage the birds.
The only thing on this side of the garden when we moved in was the forsythia. Now there’s a bit of a herb garden on the slope closest to the house, moving into perenials and shrubs further away. A strip of alpine strawberries is extremely productive next to the path.
I’m splitting the front garden in two to keep better track of the plants.
