This area was started when I got tired of looking at this old wooden swingset and realized I could not, for a reasonable amount of money, get it taken down. So, I removed the swings and planted a rose in the center and Morning Glories to grow up the sides. It has changed a lot since that first year and now an eyesore has turned into one of my favorite garden areas.
The birdbath was a lucky ebay find. After disappointing searches at online retailers and local stores (very expensive!), I set up an ebay search not expecting much from them either. Imagine my surprise when this charming (made of concrete) birdbath appeared for bid as local pickup only and it was at a reseller not 5 miles from my house. I purchased it for $9.99 and just love it.
