I have always had houseplants since I was a teenager (very long time ago), and always had a pretty good success rate growing and managing them. The problem I have now is that my cat Toby and dogs Darby and Lucy like to munch on them! Toby especially loves Oxalis – he has eaten all the tops from the stems of a large plant in one sitting of a few minutes.

So I have my plants where-ever I can stuff them into places where they can get some light and be protected from becoming a snack. I have a narrow three shelf plant stand, a three shelf stand that usually goes in the bathroom, and an old wooden school desk crowded around the south facing window in my computer room. There are other plants scattered around the room on any empty flat surface I can find. I have several plants on the mantel shelf in the living room near the large bow window. There is only one right now downstairs in the family room because of the lack of bright light. I use the downstairs work room as a place to try to germinate seeds when they are in the low light stage.

It gets worse in the winter when I have to bring some things in that have spent the summer outside. They just have to get used to crowds!

If you would like a cutting of any of these House Plants, just let me know. (If you are in the US – I don’t think I could legally ship them anywhere outside the country.) I don’t have them all listed as available for swap, but just about any one of them can be rooted pretty easily from a cutting.

Containing 63 plants, SneIrish's Inside the House garden is an indoor garden located in Swansea, MA, United States and is grown using organic principles.

This Indoor garden is located in USDA Zone 6b and has Potting Mix soil with a Indoor outlook.
