dangaroopark's Vegetable garden

This is my second year with my raised vegtable
garden at my back door. Last year we adde
sheep manure and this year horse manure from
the local showground where they have stalls
for the horses. The only trouble with that it is mixed with
straw ane “whatever”. Light rain doesn’t seem to penetrate.
Perhaps it will brekdown and be of value in
the long run. We didn’t add any soil except the soil
from around here which is on the heavy clay side.
I am hoping that by adding manure each year it might
build into better soil. I am trying to do it on the
cheap side.
