blossom's Front Trellis garden

Garden Type: Kitchen | Sun: Full Sun | Soil: Potting Mix I'm Organic!

We have made a little trough (built with chicken wire, straw mulch and potting soil) up against a bit of fence that runs down the side of the house. The fence is some rather unattractive hurricane wire and I think it will look much more appealing with something green growing over it.

The current plan forthe patch is some pumpkins and nasturiums.

I have planted 3 types of nasturtium, and so far only the ones that are indoors have sprouted, but it is still cold here at night. I have never grown it, but I have seen pics, and I am excited about the prospect. I have one type of trailing nasturtium in my mailbox planter, a climbing one next to a rather ugly fence that surrounds our air unit, and a compact one for in the garden. It looks like yours is doing pretty well. What type of soil do you have?
