This little patch is on the west side of the house. It was an overgrown flower bed which hadn’t been cared for in years. As a renter, I believe it is quite alright to improve on an already established garden bed as long as I maintain the aready existing healthy plants. In this case these is a large hydrangea at one end, the rest was scraggly and is being ripped up.
As an experiment I’ve decided to plant my lettuce, silverbeet and some herbs in the patch as it doesn’t get any morning sun…
