Let it snow! 3 Rosa Night Owl , Rosa glauca , Rose Henry Kelsey , Crazy for You rose , Rose 'Starry Night' , Rose 'Emily C...
9.10pm It felt much colder again today, perhaps it is the humidity that makes it feel colder. Even with a shirt, sweater, hoody and my old rain jacket, I felt cold and actually wore handyman gloves to do a lot of the jobs. Wrapped jute cloth around the azalea and Mandarin honeysuckle. The best view is from my window this year... 3 2 'Alchemyst' rose and Shade garden
The two oldest stems which I cut out in the spring were trained along the top of the fence so there were roses quite low down. Another two? Primula auricula and Shade garden
There appears to be another auricula behind the yellow leaved aquilegia but it hasn’t flowered this year. Also I bought a dark red one at Rona, Rock Stars, Auricula Primrose Primula pubescens ‘Exhibition Red’ (Exhibition Rot).

Structure and colour - fritillaria 1 Shade garden
I love the way these are structured with ribs holding the bell rigid, and the subtlety of colours.
