EmilyGogol's The back 40 (hah) garden

Garden Type: Patio | Sun: Partial Sun | Soil: Potting Mix I'm Organic!

My dog, Bentley (pictured) wishes it was the back forty! Our patio is about 6 × 12, which is big for SF, and is barely partial sun. It is midday sun, which allows for egyptian papyrus to live happily in the sunniest corner. Other things like rosemary, hydrangea, and dwarf alstromeria struggle along. On the patio I try to keep plants that look nice year round, grow herbs if so inclined, and baby seedlings. It is also where Bentley sniffs and occasionally samples my plants!
