Oval steel tank (like a rainwater tank) layered with straw, paper, compost, manure, etc to make a no-dig garden bed. Plonked it on top of the lawn, since we hardly use the lawn anyway.

An outdoor organic garden located in Perth, Australia, gogreener's No-dig garden currently contains 2 plants.

This is a Vegetable garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 11. It has mainly Combination soil and receives Partial Sun light.

This is great! I’d have liked something like this. I’ve got two sq ft gardens and they’re only raised about 8 inchies. One of them is using the layered idea, but it’s not doing as well as the other one.. not sure what I’ve done wrong lol.

They’re a bit funny sometimes aren’t they? If it doesn’t improve it might be worth re-doing it with fresh layers.

Things have picked up with it… Still not brilliant, but as these crops die off I will add new layers and persist :)
