My allotment (in southwest London) is used for raising a selection of vegetables. I’ve had the plot since November 2008 and in that time I’ve managed to divide it into six usable beds, each approximately 4m x 3m.
Currently (October 2009) about half the plot is planted, with a full bed of assorted brassicas (kale, winter cauliflowers, calabrese and sprouting broccoli, all under enviromesh), a bed of winter salads (lettuce, rocket, land cress, lamb’s lettuce, winter purslane) and a bed of leeks.
