I’ve become addicted to Aerogardens! I loved my first one so much, I just got a second … my goal is to have three mounted into one of their nifty wall mounts!

We have one too, but have only tried one “crop” – Cherry Tomatoes, red and yellow, three plants. It was amazing, and produced three months worth of tomatoes. This was last early spring. They were done and we removed them in July, and I couldn’t believe the roots! We planted them outside in the herb garden and got another month’s worth of tomatoes from two of the plants. I think that one “planting” just about paid us back for the price of the Aerogarden.

Oh, that’s so good to know. I have a tomato seed kit (I stocked up when Linen’s and Things went out of business) but I haven’t planted it yet. I think you’re spot on about them paying for themselves, just with herbs, I think I saved money from with my first kit.
I was so excited the other day when I saw DH tapping the wall looking for studs… a sure sign he’s thinking about where to hang the rack that I want :) Now, if I could just talk him into a worm bin for the basement, I’d be set!

Approximately equivilant to a 60 watt light bulb, which works out to cost $2.something a month.
It’s a great little machine, I love ours :)

I have been intrigued by the aero garden, especially since I had so much trouble starting herbs indoors early spring, and not sure how they will fare over the winter. This may be be going on my Christmas list (it’s bad when I am already putting things on my Christmas list in June, right?)

@ Sara … not at all bad to be making your Christmas list now ;)
Aeros are great for most herbs! You can have fresh, beautiful herbs all winter long. You mention having trouble starting seeds … did you see the seedling accessory I have for my aero? It works great for starting seeds. I’ll definitely be using it next year and may even purchase another one for my second aero.
