Sitting by the rock; Best Bet in full fig, I am a bit afraid that she might have changed into something a little less distinctive by next year, this is the last clump; Salvia May Night, Yarrow Moonlight, and Best Bet.

More of the clump has these warm purple irises, with dark falls and pale standards and a yellow beard. I think that the Best Bet may be reverting or what? Can irises change that much. This year there is only one clump of Best Bet and this is what it looks like, third photo.

Last year, I think it was the first time, a different coloured iris appeared among the Best Bet clump. It looks like the illustration for ‘Pass the Wine’ which was ordered at the same time. Either that or it is sport.
