    Wet and dry 5. East garden
    The back of this bed is very dry – good for bulbs. The west side of the soaker hose is quite damp. Took out the Lambs Ears, planted a bunch of little hostas from other parts of the garden, am wondering whether the Golden Wood Millet might prosper here.

    The position was too shady for these two, and possibly there was too much competition from more established plants. They managed to flower but quite late. So they were moved to Beyond the Pale on 29 September 2008.
