rockabella9's Perth Self-Surviving garden

Garden Type: Frontyard | Sun: Partial Sun | Soil: Potting Mix

This garden was in our sunny frontyard in Perth. It gets about 4 hours of direct morning sunshine. All the plants here were started from seed, except for the lavender, rosemary and sage which I got as small plants from Bunnings. I used mainly repurposed materials such as cardboard boxes and plastic bottles as planters as we were only staying temporarily in Perth.

The garden is now fending for itself in Perth while we are back in Singapore for the holidays. We have transplanted all the plants we wanted to save into styrofoam boxes and wound a hose around the plants which will be watered by an automatic timer. We have transferred the boxes to the backyard area where we hang laundry. This area gets about 5 hours of afternoon sun. We did try to set the tap at a gentle drip, and hopefully our housemate’s clothes won’t be sprayed by the water.
