The ornamental gardens are divided into a series of different gardens with different watering needs.
The first is the teardrop garden which contain a mixture of natives and exotics including lavenders, liriopes and dianellas, flax lilies, cistuses, bearded irises, and bulbs. Some of the trees in this area include a tibetan cherry, red barked dogwood, and some japanese maples.
The next is the new iris garden in front of the deck. This contains a flowering cherry, golden elm, forest pansy and starcrimson cherry, and well as lots of bearded irises and daylilies.
The last zone is the back garden which includes bearded irises, hellebores, a few roses, pomegranate, apricot, plum, peach, and the following plants in pots — cox’s orange pippin apple and dwarf granny smith.
