Here goes the 3rd attempt at growing this variety this year. Hopefully it’s big enough the slugs won’t completely kill it. I transplanted it from its pot to an EarthBox.

It’s not huge but it’s humming along. I hope I get more melons this year than last. Particularly because the watermelon is struggling even more.

20 Apr 2008Starting Off Tomato 'Pink Berkeley Tie-Dye' Transplanted and EarthBox gardenI don’t have enough energy to do all the things I should do if I were to be giving the EarthBoxes their best chance (emptying out old soil, sterilizing the containers, using brand new potting soil, etc) but at least I’m planting these tomatoes in an EarthBox that was not growing tomat...Sunny 18°C / 65°F
