I had mulched these quite heavily last fall, and lo and behold, they have sprouted through the mulch. Left mulch on for now, I’ll remove it after May 1, maybe a little earlier?

Compost and mulch 2 Experimental garden and Compost pile
Keeping the compostables in the freezer continues to be working just great. I can’t believe how quickly it composts. The stuff I put out a week ago was pretty well done. DD mowed on Thursday, so there was fresh grass and leaves on top which may have helped keep the top couple inches from...

November (!) Harvest 1 Happy Late summer beans Harvesting and Experimental garden
Hard to see the scale, but they’re very small. The largest of the beans is about 2" long; I don’t think this beet is the largest I’ve got, but I didn’t pull these until I got home and it was pretty dark. I’ll pull some more tomorrow. I did finally just pull t...
