I had a cucumber plant and a Chinese eggplant left over, and an area along the fence where we were able to pull out a long tree stump. I thought that might be a good place to put these two plants. They are both doing amazingly well – today (Aug 14, 2008), I harvested the first eggplant and the first cucumber; there are two more cukes just about ready to go. It’s kind of fun for me, since I don’t usually garden in the ground – I like my earthboxes. I just don’t have enough of them!
