I got my first 12 packs of heirloom tomatoes and I’ve just planted them in my new seed tray :-)
I put palm peat in the tray so its clearly a first for everything on this project :D
I want to attempt growing them close to each other and come up with some sort of barrier to prevent cross pollination, save seed and plant them out again to see if I can retain the exact qualities in the particular tomato. I hope I can have the results in by end of this year hehehehehe
I’m mixing the soil with chicken manure about 50/50 and plan on feeding them on a chiken manure tea when the time comes. Perhaps I’ll top dress with some cow manure towards the end.
The environment isn’t “scientifically” perfect but will see what happens !!!!!
