My house was a rental for several years. When my husband and I bought it, it had been many years since anyone cared for the yard, front or back. The front yard has a foundation bed, grass lawn, an azalea bush and one rose bush. I’m mostly a veggie gardener, but I’m dipping my toes into the ornamentals to try and make my front yard look pretty.

Thanks for you comments and advice on my journal. It looks like you have a lovely garden and will spend some more time checking out your garden progression. We just moved about a month ago to our place and it is pretty much the same condition as you describe with yours. We have so much weeding and pulling to do. I feel like it will take years to get it to a nice condition.
Thanks again!

It will take a while, but if you divide it into sections and address them one at a time, you’ll be able to see progress. I can’t wait to see what you do!
