VeraMarie's Those Pots Against the Fence garden

Garden Type: Container | Sun: Full Sun | Soil: Potting Mix I'm Organic!

I love the look of daylilies and a few years ago managed to scrape together enough to buy some big plastic pots. I planted daylilies in every other pot, and filled the others with geraniums. Last year, the geraniums didn’t happen and this year every other pot is filled with weeds. Obviously this bit needs some work.

Hello dear, thanks for the link.

Anyway, about your pots. Some ideas:

Drop them into slightly bigger prettier containers
Drop them into wooden planters or facades similar to your fence, or have something like it made.
Have wooden PORTABLE troughs, or small fences made to hide the containers.
Paint them! Match or contrast your house. We used to do it all the time at a greenhouse where it worked. Cover the soil and plant with a garbage bag, and you can even use spray paint.
