I did not start this orchard (MIL did) and I don’t know the tree varieties. But it is time to get it under control—it’s a jungle out there.
I am going to work on getting variety names.
We are going to move all the blueberries out in the fall to create a separate berries orchard.
This is a really healthy orchard due to the fact that the chicken coop opens into it. The birds eat any insects that could cause disease and are constantly fertilizing.
But they love the blueberries! They jump straight up in the air and eat as many as they can.
Two sides are covered with Wisteria which has kept the deer away.
