missviolet's Secret Shoe Junkyard garden

I found this great tutorial from a wonderful website (email me for the link) that talked about a shoe garden. All the plants are in little shoes on very simple shelves, and it says how to choose and arrange them for prettiness.

Since we live, effectively, in a junkyard, this was right up my alley.

It’s not even remotely done yet — I’m still working on getting more worn-out shoes from friends and relatives, and that concrete there is a placeholder/shelfweight for a rock cairn made of rocks from Washington State (home for me), and there will eventually be many more layers and shelves, and probably some tacky lawn ornaments, because that’s the kind of junk I like. :)
