ceae's Around the Deck garden

This garden doesn’t exist yet, but this is where I’ll collect ideas for favourite plants to add around the deck, both in pots and the ground. I’d like to have some fragrant plants as well as something for evening interest. The light ranges from shade to sun and the soil is typically clay, but will be heavily amended.

Construction of the new deck will begin in the next week or so and hopefully be done by the end of July. I’ll try to get the beds surrounding the deck dug and maybe do some planting in the fall. The majority of the planting will have to wait until next spring, but that will give me something to ‘plan’ during the winter months.
