puu's goat garden

I would like to train this over an arch to form a doorway into the goat paddock. to that end, I staked the largest branch vertically. it had been trailing along the ground previously. much better now, though a barberry gate is still several years off.

so, plants keep disappearing around here. down holes. my guess is that since it’s been so dry, soil critters are congregating around the plants that get watered. and moles eat soil critters. and moles make holes. and the plants are falling down the holes. the latest casualties were a ...
