The entrance to our house has been in need of a wow factor. It is the first view of our home before you see the house. It was previously lawn but in this climate too hard to sustain.
Nick and I have been playing with a few ideas bit the most important is low maintenance and water requirement.
So we have been working towards formal design with low maintenance plants.
Before you enter our gates, we have planted rosemary hedge on either side. It is now looking very healthy and grand.
Inside our gates, we have planted Murraya paniculata (orange jessamine).
Then along our drive way, agapanthus on both sides. Behind these we have planted with standard Burgundy Icebergs. We have also planted avonview lavenders which are now in full bloom and majestic purple flowers.
We still have a lot to do in particular the garden bed in front of our bedroom window.
An outdoor organic garden located in Clarendon, Australia, ClarendonFlower's The Entrance garden currently contains 3 plants.
This is a Formal garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 10. It has mainly Chalk soil and receives Partial Sun light.Plantings
