When we redid our driveway, the contractors dumped some of the dirt in this area. It is clay and full of pebbles and gravels. Hostas and lilies don’t really thrive there. A couple of years back, I did some plant trades and got some noids and named irises and planted them in there. Two years later, those irises thrived. After bloom season last spring/early summer, I picked the irises that are pleasing to my eyes and got rid of the ugly ones. I planted some of my newly purchased irises in this bed.
