Our first water garden is a preformed plastic liner installed in the ground which will provide a place for the birds, drawn to our feeders, to drink and bathe. It currently has only a couple of Siberian Iris plants and a Citronella plant on the south bank. Gold fish will be its main in habitants and tadpoles/frogs if I’m quick enough to round up some “volunteers.” It will overflow to the east and the adjacent Iris plants will be the start of the marsh area.
