This is the second year we are having a garden. Out plot is about 28 * 42 feet, and a corner of it is for the herbs, and we are putting a compost bin in another corner. I have seeded Zinnia’s on the short ends and they haven’t sprouted yet. We are trying some new plants this year as well as planting our favorites from last year. We have a local greenhouse and they are also our friends. Hence, she gave us almost as many plants as we bought to try out :)
New additions this year are the chili peppers, broccoli, red cabbage, summer squash, sunshine summer, acorn squash, melons, pumpkins, bell peppers.
We also have a patch on the end of the garden to grow veggies to give to the local shelter. We got the idea from the Harvest for Hunger program and since we don’t have such program, our extra veggies will go to the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in Wausau.

Had to add you to my favorites! You are doing quite a variety of goodies – as I am. I am wondering if I have too much going on. Also starting my first compost heap this year.
