This is a 4×4′ raised bed out in the front yard. It had cucumbers and peppers in 2011, and doomed melons in 2012. For the fall, I’m planting a ground cover edible, and some arugula. I think the soil needs a lot of composting. It’s dry and crumbly, and doesn’t seem to hold much moisture.
