We had waaaaaay too many different beds scattered throught our yard. It became a chore to keep the beds cleaned out and maintained as they should be. We no longer enjoyed gardening, plus it was a eyesore.
We have removed the beds. I gave away extras and combined the remaining plantings together to lessen the size as well as the number of beds.Now I have 2 main beds. One in the front around a decorative well house and one in the back. I still have plantings around the base of the deck and foundation of the garage but no more little gardens scattered here and there. I have come to believe quality is better than quanity. Now the beds will be well maintained and the yard will look soooo much better!
