My backyard in Perth has been an ongoing battle, the soil is sand & it faces west with a limestone wall behind. The wall reflects incredible heat onto the plants all afternoon and I have so many failures. At the moment it seems to be doing reasonable well and we have endured a relentless summer with the next few weeks being in the high 30’s © again, we are still on water restrictions – 2 days per week for 10 mins each, which for sand is like not having any water as by the time Im allowed to water again the soil is so repellant it all runs off anyway. enough whinging, I think it looks ok & Im selling the house anyway so here’s hoping the new garden has better soil.
Burnlee's Perth backyard garden is an outdoor garden and is located in Central Wheatbelt, Australia and currently contains 9 plants.
