This is the commemorative garden I planted for my dear friend Sandra upon the birth of her baby, Darbee Violet. Within a few days, a neglected piece of earth was transformed into something beautiful. I wanted to surprise my friend as she returned home from the hospital with a bumbling joy in toe. While she was in labor… push, push!.. I was in labor…plant, plant!

What a fabulous thing to do :-)
I built a pond for my inlaws, and a front garden for my mum in the house she lived in before her current one, but this seems to take things one step further.
What a loving thing to do.
