I decided to transplant 17 of my heirloom tomatoes that I started from seed outdoors. I planned on containerizing them and having them near the porch, but it was very difficult to keep them moist. I decided, since it’s only going to get hotter, that it would be better to put them in the ground where they’ll retain more moisture. They were also getting waaay too much sun where I had them in containers and were scorching pretty badly. I’ll take cuttings in the autumn and start some inside from that.
