I’ve grown basil before, but after checking out some books on gardening and on herbs especially, I’ve decided to branch out. I have lemon balm, basil, sage, thyme, cilantro, rosemary, lavender, and mint.
I did my container in lasagna layers: started with newspaper on the bottom so nothing leaks out, then organic compost, organic potting mix, organic peat moss and repeated those soil layers ending with compost. I’m trying to keep everything organic or as close as I can get!
