My West facing garden, very windy. Acid clay soil but gradually improving. Reclaimed in 2010 from years of being under plastic and tons of gravel from previous owners. Very hard to work due to tree roots so I’m starting a lot from seed or very small divisions – expect it to take longer than usual to fill out but already it’s just been great to see life there.
2011 update: Lots of things doing well despite gales, am amazed by how they bear the prevailing winds. Slowly filling out and the things about to start their 2nd year are looking really good and giving some backbone to the smaller or more annual plants.
