Old Magnolia growing on compacted clay soil. Have pruned it to a better shape allowing light below for new flowers to grow. A main walkways for old ladies with dogs so we have dedicated it to pink and white flowers with tall Alliums for bold accents. Spring bulbs and feverfew dominate the shadiest parts. Mallow, Anemone, Lychnis, Dianthus and various silver leaved plants sit in the sunnier area where it was possible to dig a little. Entire area rampant with horsetail which has to be pulled by hand every month in warm weather.
