CDfolia's A's Amelanchier garden
Garden Type: Border | Sun: Dappled Sun | Soil: Loam | Established: 2008 | Organic

One of the areas I do in my best friend’s garden. 3 Seasons of interest but intended to look best in Spring as this is the area seen from the main house window on cold days when you are wishing for signs of life after a long winter.
Mixed planting of Spring flowering small trees, herbaceous perennials and some berries and herbs. Planted with wildlife in mind and designed to give as much pleasure to people passing as to people in the garden. It has a very Cottage Garden feel to it, bulging with plants from late Spring to Autumn and several ladies have said it reminds them of the gardens of their childhood, which makes me really happy.
Slightly acid soil, almost full sun Mid June – mid August, Part shade Spring/Autumn, very shady Winter/early Spring though open and so not dark.
An outdoor organic garden located in Near Loanhead/Edinburgh, United Kingdom, CDfolia's A's Amelanchier garden currently contains 73 plants.
This is a Border garden that is known to be in USDA Hardiness Zone 8b. It has mainly Loam soil and receives Dappled Sun light.Photos

It must look as pretty as a picture in springtime. It’s filled with so many beautiful things.

Yes, Spring is it’s best time when the days are still cold but the garden has so much colour and growth.
