Possibly my favourite corner of the garden. Cooled by a well grown native tree, which hangs delightfully over the whole corner and protected from the harsh sea breeze by a fence and the rose garden, it’s the perfect place to grow my water loving, low light herbs.
When we bought the house in January, it was piled a foot deep in leaves and junk. Now it’s a gorgeous oasis on a hot day, especially when you turn the mist sprinklers on, which are clung all over the tree branches. At night it’s even more special when the fairy lights and garden lights come on. It is waist height and enclosed by the rose garden on one side and the vineyard on the other. It has a large curvy raised bed and a small built in seat which I plan to mosaic.
I love it.

Thank you, I do too. You cannot imagine the quarrels between Farmer_Ben and myself when he said he wanted to remove it! Need to update the pics, it’s grown considerably since then. :)
