I am the proud owner of a new cold frame! Hurrah for B+Q. Thanks to hubby for erecting it! Plan is to nurture things through the winter… Salad, anyone?
I REALLY should have bought 2 or 3. It is now full!
I gues that cold-frames only work when it’s not, well, you know… Cold. A blanket (or bubble wrap) is needed for temps of -10C, I guess
Should also utilise it for hardening things off (especially Courgettes), asall mine have died as of today (09/06/11)
November 2011: Have pegged this down on the raised bed, to act as a super-cloche salad seems to like it!
December 10th 2011: Very windy last night: Cold Frame at other end of the garden this morning! Goodness knows where the pegs have ended up
